Cheek, eye, jowl, and neck fat all diminish with age. As we age, the elastic fibres in our skin shrink, resulting in a loss of facial elasticity. The “facial structure” becomes less stable as a result of the two processes, leading to sagging of the skin  and wrinkles.

To do a thread lift, surgical threads are used to raise the area of sagging skin manually. Threads can be used to rejuvenate the face by tightening and lifting sagging areas and counteract the effects of ageing.

PDO (Mint Threads) and PLLA (Silhouette Soft Threads) are the two common types of thread materials, and both are used by Dr. Sheila depending on your treatment goals and assessment of your facial tissues.

What is a Silhouette Soft threads lift?

A non-surgical facelift using Silhouette Soft Thread Lifts can reshape the face, replace lost volume, and produce a youthful appearance. It is a quick and effective procedure that can target several facial and neck regions, including the brows, nose-to-mouth lines, marionette lines, jawline, and neck region.

Lifting and repositioning your facial skin, lifting jowls, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and the eye area is achieved by using a double-action effect; an instant repositioning of the tissue and a progressive regeneration of collagen over time, with results typically lasting for about 18 months.

During your initial consultation, Dr. Sheila will analyse your skin. She will then recommend the best course of treatment for you after hearing about your concerns and considering your expectations.

Would you like to avoid surgery and get a soft non-surgical facelift to elevate your mid and lower face? You might benefit most from a Harley Street, London Silhouette Soft® thread lift treatment.

How does Silhouette Soft threads work?

Silhouette Soft threads are dissolvable sutures placed in the face to lift sagging tissues. This product functions as a non-surgical facelift and provides the best non-surgical results for lifting sagging skin. Not only do Silhouette Soft Threads effectively lift the tissues, it also stimulates type I collagen, restoring suppleness and elasticity to the skin.  Silhouette Soft threads produces a natural lifting effect without making you look “too different” or plumped.

What is a Silhouette Soft Thread?

Every Silhouette Soft thread is a dissolvable stitch with a small cone. These cones both stimulate collagen and allow the thread to connect to the face’s deep tissue in order to lift it.

There are two ways a Silhouette Soft Thread Lift functions;

  1. Firstly, a non-surgical facelift is performed by mechanically lifting the skin, giving the face an instantly elevated appearance.
  2. Secondly, the tiny cones on the threads, which are anchored deeply in your skin, promote the body’s collagen creation over the course of the following months, giving you a smooth, elevated appearance that looks entirely natural.

The threads are made of a stitch that dissolves called Poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA)(biodegradable polymer). The same substance, PLLA, is utilised in surgical stitches to repair wounds. As with any dissolvable stitch, the threads simply naturally disappear over time in your skin.

FAQ's

Silhouette Soft may be used in the following areas to give a thread facelift:

  • Fox eye lift, thread brow lift, and thread lift of the eyes
  • Enhance cheeks and lessen sagging
  • Lifting the middle and lower face can improve the definition of the jawline and minimise wrinkles and pouches of sagging tissue next to the mouth.
  • Improve sagging neck skin under the chin and jaw with a neck lift or neck thread lift.

Silhouette Soft is ideal for people wishing to elevate their entire face because it is minimally invasive, has a short recovery period, and produces long-lasting effects. It is advised for people over 30 who are starting to see age-related changes in their skin, such as loss of firmness and volume as well as lines and wrinkles.

Dr. Sheila administers a local anaesthetic to numb the treatment region first which will prevent pain before the thread lift starts.

The thread lift’s lifting effect will become apparent right away. Additionally, over the course of three months, the thread lift’s renewing impact, through collagen stimulation will gradually become apparent.

The results of Silhouette Soft Threads last up to 18 months

Yes, the majority of patients who receive thread lifts also receive other procedures like Ultherapy to tighten the skin before lifting or modest amounts of dermal filler to improve the outcome. A comprehensive and bespoke plan will be prescribed when you come in for your consultation with Dr. Sheila.

You will be given a written list of instructions to follow after your treatment, including not exercising for 14 days and resting on your back for 5 nights. We advise taking up to 5 days off from work or avoiding social events after this treatment because you will probably have noticeable marks on your face for 5 days.

In the first 24 hours following any facial aesthetics procedure, we always advise against wearing makeup and drinking alcohol. For certain procedures like Silhouette Soft, it may also be necessary to refrain from heat treatments, high-impact sports, and other facial treatments for a few weeks.
